Forum «Religion and Peace»

Forum «Religion and Peace» is one of the largest discussion platforms, where for more than 10 years in an open dialogue, issues of support and development of humanitarian and charitable initiatives, interreligious relations, consolidation of society on the basis of traditional values are discussed.

Through all forums, a single semantic core passes – the role of traditional spiritual and moral values in strengthening peace, stability and national security.

The Forum helps to build new partnerships and create conditions for working together on initiatives aimed at strengthening trust and mutual understanding between people from different countries and cultures. Through discussions, panel sessions, and working groups, participants are looking for practical solutions that will help to consolidate society and develop humanitarian cooperation at the national and international levels.

In 2025, the Forum discussed current issues of education and its role in interethnic and interreligious interaction, the preservation of traditional spiritual and moral values in education, as well as the role of religious and public organizations in the modern education system.
Discussions took place at a plenary session and three thematic sections.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, Russian and foreign experts, public and religious figures from Russia, Syria, Iran, Belarus, Moldova, Israel, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Iraq. Representatives of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics also spoke at the Forum as speakers.

For two days, participants discussed approaches to maintaining traditional spiritual and moral values through educational activities, which are essential for the harmonious coexistence of people in a diverse world. The participants expressed their hope for continued activities in the field of education and noted the high importance of such events for our country.

About the organizer

The Union Christian World is a Russian public organization that has been implementing projects in the field of interreligious dialogue, humanitarian cooperation, and public diplomacy since 2013.

The Union's mission is to protect and preserve traditional spiritual values and assist the ancient churches of the Middle East in preserving their Christian heritage. Among the key areas of activity are the development of international and interreligious dialogue, the implementation of social and educational programs, the support of traditional values through legal, informational, and educational mechanisms, as well as humanitarian assistance to Christian communities abroad.

One of the Union's key projects is the international forum «Religion and Peace» which has been serving as a platform for open dialogue, exchange of experience, and the development of cooperation between participants from Russia and foreign countries for many years.

Forum «Religion and Peace» is an international discussion platform that brings together representatives of religious organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, public associations, and the expert community from Russia and other countries. The forum's events are attended by religious leaders from various denominations, representatives of the State Duma, the Presidential Administration, the Moscow Government, as well as foreign delegations, scientists, and public figures.

The Forum focuses on discussing issues related to strengthening peace and social harmony, promoting interreligious dialogue, preserving traditional spiritual and moral values, and supporting humanitarian and charitable initiatives. Special attention is paid to the role of education in shaping a culture of mutual respect, responsibility, and cooperation between people of different nationalities and religions.

The Forum creates a space for open exchange of experience, professional dialogue, and the search for practical solutions to the pressing issues of modern society. It brings together those who work to build trust between people, promote international cooperation, and implement projects aimed at preserving peace and mutual understanding.

Over the years, the Forum has become a platform for the formation of new partnerships, the discussion of significant social initiatives, and the development of proposals that contribute to the advancement of humanitarian cooperation between countries and civil society institutions.

Between 2013 and 2025, 12 forums were held with annual participation ranging from 300 to 1000 people from more than 30 countries. The total audience reach over 10 years exceeded 200,000 people, and the number of publications and media mentions was more than 1500. Among the key topics of previous years are “Religion and Digital Society”, “Spiritual Foundations of the Great Victory”, “Traditional Values as the Foundation of Peace”, “Education as a Path to Peace”. In 2026, the forum’s theme will be “The Unity of Peoples in the Diversity of Service”.
